Heather is a recovering Type-A nutritionist who was seeking perfection, only to realize the body is brilliant, and we have to learn how to listen. She works with her clients to achieve total acceptance of the critic and rebel aspects of our psyche.
When it comes to food, our rebel DESIRES to be fulfilled while the critic JUDGES every desire. When we conduct a conversation with these two voices and find a calm, common ground, we are free.

I am truly honored to walk with you and support you along your path of living an embodied + well life. If there's one thing I know for certain, it's that change is inevitable. However, I believe that it's our approach to change that count. We can let change happen to us or be intentional about how we want to change the way we move, think, sense, and feel. That's why our work together will focus on cultivating the inspiration, knowledge, skill, and awareness you need to live a life that nourishes the changes you want to create in your body, mind, and spirit.
If we haven't met yet, my name is Buffy Owens, and I'm a Feldenkrais Practitioner®, Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, and the founder of Conscious Movements. I teach people from around the world how to move beyond pain and live a more embodied & resilient life. My journey with the human potential movement dates back to the 1990s, when I first began studying human anatomy and the spirit that moves the form. These early years laid the foundation for a lifetime of personal and professional exploration in embodied movement, meditation, and the power of using food as medicine.
Today, my teachings utilize mindful movement and self-inquiry as a medium for exploring the interconnectedness of healthy living, self-healing, and personal growth.
