Soft Squeeze For Better Sleep
13 min • Any PositionMy training in the Sounder Sleep System influenced the creation of this calming Attune To Awareness practice. In the Sounder Sleep System, this practice is considered a daytime relaxation technique, or DayTamers. Much like Orienting, DayTamers are practiced at intervals during waking hours to offset the stress of life and make your life more peaceful. You can use this practice to help calm yourself, sense yourself, and return to the present moment.
I recommend doing this throughout your day and as a bedtime practice before sleep. You can alternate it with orienting or do both practices back-to-back. Once you know how to do the Soft Squeeze, you can do them in less than a minute or longer.

Best Sleep In Ages
Wow! Golly! I'd not slept all week until last night when I did the "Main Squeeze' of the sounder sleep. It was tricky to hold my hands in that formation, a brain challenge, and I thought, "I've never ever held my hands like this and squeezed them"! I was asleep after 5 minutes-bliss! Best sleep in ages! Though I had to briefly wake up to turn off the internet on my iPhone. But this was amazing. Thank you, Buffy, and I will do this one again tonight!

So Calming!
This lesson is SO calming. I'm going to integrate the Soft Squeeze with my Orienting practice as it will reinforce my feelings of safety. And to help me focus on my internal state of mind and foster self-awareness. I believe that integrating the two will help me relax and breathe more naturally
